Abstract

Sarcomas are heterogeneous group of neoplasms that arise predominantly from cells of embryonic mesoderm. Soft tissue malignant
myoepithelioma is a rare tumour showing myoepithelial elements with lack of obvious ducts differentiation. Its rarity and similarity to other
tumours makes them difficult to diagnose. Here we present a case of gluteal swelling which on further evaluation, surgical excision and
pathological assessment came out as soft tissue myoepithelial carcinoma.
