KRUKENBERG TUMOR OF OVARY WITH EXTENSIVE STROMAL PROLIFERATION: A DIAGNOSTIC DILEMMA
Abstract
Krukenbergtumor is the malignancy of ovaries which is metastatic from aprimary site. The primary carcinoma is usually in the stomach. Signet ring carcinoma of the breast, gall bladder and colon can also metastasize to ovaries. In 80% of cases, it presents as bilateral ovarian carcinoma. We report a case of 25 year old female with bilateral ovarian masses diagnosed as Krukenbergtumor. A detailed clinical work up and with pathological examination helped to locate the site of primary tumor.
