ISOLATED COMPLETE PANCREATIC TRANSECTION FOLLOWING BLUNT ABDOMINAL TRAUMA
Abstract
Isolated pancreatic injury following abdominal trauma, is an uncommon condition- Diagnosis usually insidious, needs multiple investigations
including blood reports, physical examination, radiological tests. We report a case of a 25 years old male with a complete pancreatic transection,
following blunt abdominal trauma. Distal pancreatectomy with spleen preservation was performed with successful postoperative period. We
discuss diagnostic and therapeutic modalities in isolated pancreatic injury.
